I just stumbled across this New York Times review of the recent
NYC Winter Jazzfest Marathon. It is indeed wonderful to see a positive review of multiple friends from the AQ scene (including Dave King, Brandon Wozniak and Anthony Cox) but I think that the highlight of
this review of Vector Families is Nate Chinen's colorful take on guitarist Dean Granros: "A visionary oddball, [... who] felt beamed in from another dimension." You can find Dean's website at
